Artiste of the Year at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Elorm Adablah, popularly known as E.L, in an exclusive interview on The Profiler Show on Hitz FM says he should have won the Best Rapper Award this year.
According to him, the award should have gone to him or R2bees’ Paedae, also known as Omar Sterling.
He mentioned that Paedae’s ‘Nineteen Ninety’ song was a great song and should have earned him an award.
Sarkodie beat E.L, Flowking Stone, Omar Sterling and Pappy Kojo to that award.
E.L nevertheless called Sarkodie a talented artiste, adding, “I just felt it could have swung our way but that doesn’t take away from the genius artiste Sarkodie.”
E.L won five awards out of nine nominations. He won Best Music Video of The Year, Producer of The Year, Hiplife/Hip-Hop Artiste of The Year, Afro-Pop Song of The Year and the Ultimate Artiste of The Year.
