Tension looms between Ghana Airforce and Holyfire Church in Takoradi

holy-fire-635x357Tension is looming between The Ghana Airforce and Holyfire Revival Ministries Int Inc, a popular Charismatic Church in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis over a parcel of land which is believed to be a property of the Latter.

There has been some misunderstanding between The Airforce and the Church in the past over boundaries but the current tension is as a result of a permanent structure which is currently being put up on a land believed to be a property of the Church in an open defiance of order by the Metro Assembly to halt the project.

According to the Church, they realised to their utter shock and Amazement last Friday that, a temporary structure situated on the parcel of Land in question and used as Fanice vending joint under the permission of the Church was being converted into a Permanent Structure.

The leadership of the Church went to question the owner of the Structure, one Dwamena as to who gave him the Authority to do that Project.

He was said to have mentioned The Airforce for permitting him but the Church Leadership ordered him to stop the project.

He reportedly became infuriated and openly and sternly threatened them with a serious bloodshed if they dared confronted him again on the project. This was on Sat, May 7, 2016.

After realising that their order had been flouted, the Church Leadership, this time round accompanied by the Men’s Ministry, went to issue another caution on Sunday, May 8, 2016 but they were met with even more serious confrontations.

Report was subsequently lodged with the Police and the Metropolitan Assembly who quickly ordered the project to stop.

But in open defiance to this order by the City Authority, work is even going on more steadily with lightening speed under fully armed Military Guard.

ACP Rtd Daniel Okyere who is a Board Member and the Presiding Elder of the Church is calling on Authorities to intervene immediately to avert any eventuality.

Efforts to get the Airforce for their reaction have not been successful.
