SOME passengers on board an Urvan bus travelling from Kumasi to Tarkwa in the Western Region were forced to delay their journey at a point for several hours following an attack by a swarm of bees.
The victims, including the driver of the vehicle, did not see where the bees came from, before suddenly invading the vehicle and stinging them.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident, which occurred at Bawdie, near Bogoso in the Prestea Huni-Valley District of the Western Region, lasted for one hour, forcing the vehicle to come to a complete stop.
The victims ended up with swollen faces and pain all over their body and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
In the heat of the incident, some of the passengers turned their anger on the driver for not speeding up, allowing the bees to invade the vehicle.
Others, however, disagreed and wondered how the driver, who was also a victim, would intentionally slow down for the bees to attack them.
