“A big showbiz player nearly killed my dream” – Atumpan cries

Atumpan
‘The thing’ crooner, Atumpan has bemoaned how a big showbiz player in Ghana nearly killed his music career.

According to Atumpan who spoke to www.233times.net at Rudeboi’s Croydon studio in London , “The real dream killers are the showbiz players themselves. I remember how a big showbiz player nearly killed my dream.” Narrating to www.233times.net , Atumpan revealed that a recognized showbiz personality in Ghana told him straight in his face that he cannot ever have any hit song in his life.

“I wondered if that was a curse or something he saw that I could not see. When he told me that, my spirit was shattered, my hopes were gone and my dreams of pursuing my music career nearly came to an end. The person was and is even still close to me. That makes the matter worse. People might know who I am talking about, a very close person who is well-known in the industry” Atumpan told www.233times.net

According to Atumpan who does not want to mention the name of the said big showbiz player, many people’s dreams are killed by what people tell them and what is rumoured about them. As a victim of how words could dim the light of a human being, Atumpan has composed a song ‘Let them say’ which encourages people who have been in his position or is currently in what he went through to be strong and just “let them say but they shouldn’t allow it to manifest.”

In the song, which is a real-life experience, Atumpan sings that “then say then say we no go fi make am.” Touching on that verse of the song, Atumpan told this reporter that, there are rumours that he cannot be successful musically again as compared to his all-time hit song ‘The thing.’ “That makes me laugh, that makes me wonder if they know what we  have in our sleeves. The best of Atumpan is yet to come” Atumpan assured.
