The President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo Addo as part of his appointment has seen a rise for women to hold office which doubles up the number of women playing key roles in his government. With equality of gender in his government, is to see women steering affairs and also form an integral part in the process of his government’s vision and mission in making the nation great again.
In accordance, Gifty Oware’s appointment came in as the youngest female to hold office as the Deputy Executive Director, National Service Scheme. Until her current appointment, Gifty was the Head of Research at Danquah Institute, a Mislead Fellow of Moremi Africa Initiative. Also, a graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology and the University of South Africa respectively.
In 2008 and 2012, Gifty Oware was part of the National Youth Wing who campaigned strongly for the New Patriotic Party coupled with many others who were also part of the team. Moving forward, in 2016 before the general elections were held, herself and other young professionals championed a campaign “H.O.P.E” for the New Patriotic Party. The Youth advocacy group endorsed the then Flagbearer who is currently the President of Ghana to fulfil prospects of leadership needed in Ghana.
Gifty was not only a member in championing the entire campaign but has proved her commitment towards the success of it all.
The Newly Appointed Deputy Executive Director, Gifty Oware has joined the National Service Scheme team to successfully bring about and attain their objectives with special efforts centred.
