It is only miraculous that an Artiste would be nominated in the flagship Artiste of the year category but has no single song nominated in any of the categories released by the Ghana Music Awards board.
Worshipper/Gospel Artiste Joe Mettle and Dancehall Artiste MzVee have mysteriously found their way in the flagship ‘Artiste of the Year’ category without any single song of theirs nominated in any of the categories. Isn’t it a wonder only Ghana Music Awards can perform?
On what qualifies an Artiste to win the ‘Artiste of the Year,’ the awards board states that;
“The Artiste of the Year is the Artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity. The Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album during the year under review.”
