Our members won’t partake in any ‘needless’ protest against NPP – NDC Youth Org.

356454457_340680Some Youth Organizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] say their members are not ready to play a part in any ‘unnecessary’ demonstration against the ruling New Patriotic Party.

The Youth Organizers believe the Organizer of the demonstration, Sidii Abubakar who is also the National Youth Organizer of the NDC contributed to the defeat of the NDC in the last elections hence they will not listen and follow him to partake in the intended protest march.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’, the NDC Youth Organizer of the Fanteakwa South constituency, Mark Okraku said Sidii Abubarkar could not mobilize the NDC youth during the elections period to canvas votes for the party.

He described Sidii Abubakar as a ‘failure‘ after commending NPP’s Sammy Awuku for his tremendous organization that ensured his party’s victory.

“We have better things doing and our members will not leave their jobs to join such needless protest against the NPP. What did the youth organizer [Sidi] do to help the NDC youth?” he questioned.

Sidi Abubakar is scheduled to lead the youth of the NDC coming Friday to demonstrate against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the seizure of NDC officials’ state vehicles.

But before the protest, Mark Okraku among other regional organizers say they are not interested in the protest and have urged their followers to ignore their National Organizer.

“Sidi should have been that vibrant during the elections not now. The boys are hungry just because we did not secure them jobs. So why must they go and protest on an empty stomach, baseless!” He told host Kwesi Aboagye.

However, the National Youth Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sidii Abubakar Musah broke his silence on his role in the 2016 campaigns of the party that culminated in its electoral defeat.

Mr. Sidii Musah has come under a barrage of criticisms from the youth of the party for being ineffective and inefficient compared to his colleague Sammy Awuku of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who was a major force to reckon with.

The NDC stalwart claims he was starved of logistics and literally neglected because the youth wing was not factored into the national campaign structure hence his inability to function as expected by the youth who reposed confidence in him and made him their National Youth Organiser.

“This is the first time a campaign team was set up and the National Youth Organizer was not part of it. I tried as much as possible to make my presence felt and ensure that we channeled all programmes towards alleviating the plight of the youth, but what do you do if you have been taken off;…maybe is a strategy failure,” Sidii told Accra-based Radio Gold.
