3 arrested in Central Region for possessing human parts

arrested-handcuffedThree people have been arrested by the Bremang Asikuma police in the Central region for possessing human parts.

The three namely Kwesi Awudu, 25, Bismark Botwe, 20 and Stephen Donkor, 22, claim that they obtained the human parts from a cemetery at Breman Towobuasi in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa district of the Central region.

According to reports, the three were on their way to Agona Swedru when one of the human parts caught the attention of a member of the community who raised an alarm leading to their arrest.

The three initially denied that the parts were that of human beings arguing that the bones were from a sheep.

However, after several hours of questioning, they led the police to the Breman Towoboasi town cemetery where they claim they dug the bones for spiritual protection.

Bremang Asikuma district police commander ASP Emmanuel Baah in an interview with Starr News Central regional correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour said the three suspect will later be put before court.
