PHOTO: John Mahama visits Kintampo disaster victims

413349089_316239Former President John Dramani Mahama on Monday March 20, 2017 visited victims of last Sunday’s storm disaster at Kintampo Waterfalls at various health facilities in the area.

The visit was also to enable the statesman the opportunity to have firsthand information on what actually transpired and commiserate with bereaved families of deceased persons.

He was accompanied by some former government officials and security personnel from the area who briefed him on the unfortunate incident.

Former President John Mahama expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured persons speedy recovery.

About 20 persons have been reported dead and more than 30 left with various degrees of injuries after trees at the waterfalls fell on revelers last Sunday afternoon.

The deceased persons were mostly students from the Wenchi Methodist Senior High School, students from Students of the University of Naturaal Resources in Sunyani and holiday makers.
