Charter House’s Head of production who is also the Public Relations Officer for Ghana Music Awards board, Nii Ayite Hammond has apologized for misinforming the public that Daughters of Glorious Jesus are the first Gospel Artistes to win the flagship ‘Artiste of year’ category, not the reigning Artiste of the year Joe Mettle like the media report.
Before the apology, Nii Ayite Hammond said that Daughters of Glorious Jesus won the Artiste of the year in 2004. According a thorough investigation, it appears that VIP, re-branded VVIP won the Artiste of the year in the said year (2004).
Nii Ayite Hammond then took to his Facebook page to render an unqualified apology for misinforming the public. In his post he wrote;
