A board member of BET said he doesn’t even know Stonebwoy – Shatta Wale

Controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has posited that some board members of the BET Awards don’t know who Stonebwoy is.

Speaking on GHOne’s entertainment programme ‘The Pundits’ the “dancehall king”, noted that even Stonebwoy who was nominated for Best International Art African is not known by some board members on the BET Awards scheme.

The musician attributed the lack of popularity of Ghanaian musicians at the international level to the lack of support from the local (Ghanaian) music industry.

“A board member of the BET Awards said he doesn’t even know who Stonebwoy is”

“My point is, I feel am working so hard and if my country had supported me, we would have gotten better recognition at the international level,” he said.
