Sek/Tadi gas explosion: 60 people admitted at Effia Nkwanta Hospital (DISTURBING PHOTOS)

The Western Region’s referral centre, Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital has admitted 60 victims of the May 9 gas explosion at Sekondi-Takoradi, www.233times.net can report. 

The gas explosion which occurred this morning at GHUMCO, a Chinese company on the Takoradi Technical University – Effia Nkwanta stretch affected three other companies and several property worth thousands of Ghana cedis. 

The number of victims affected by the explosion was initially reported as 30 but this number has doubled as Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital alone has admitted 60. GPHA and New Takoradi Hospitals have admitted some of the victims but www.233times.net is uncertain about the number admitted at those facilities now. www.233times.net will update Readers on this developing story.
