Prez. Akufo Addo holds bilateral talks with UN Deputy Secretary-General

7b45aba318b5a7f0d1d70aa60ed6f2a5_LPRESIDENT Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has held bilateral discussions with the Deputy United Nations Secretary-General, Ms. Amina Mohammed, at the UN headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the high-level Oceans Conference.

Present at the closed door meeting were the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minister, Shirley Ayekor Botchway, Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, Director of State Protocol, Ambassador Ahmed Hassan, Ambassador Martha Pobee, Permanent Representative and other top government officials.

The discussions are believed to have centred on Ghana’s leading role at the UN, particularly Peacekeeping, the Oceans Conference and other issues on the peace and security in Africa, particularly West Africa.
