As if the Western Regional Minister announced that he was about to deliver a speech which contained a juicy package for Westerners, last Saturday most televisions in the Western Region were tuned to the celebrated ‘Music Music’ on TV3 to watch one of the pride of the Western Region music, Ayesem perform on that big stage.
Known to be a great performer, Stephen Siaw, otherwise known as Ayesem last Saturday shook Ghana when he performed to a live audience at Studio B on TV 3 premises. Being his first appearance on the show, the host Root Eye could not hide his admiration for Ayesem’s exceptional prowess in rapping.
Beginning with his latest and controversial ‘Koti’ song, the audience in the studio sang and danced to all the songs he performed. The audience who could not hold their excitement shouted for an encore.
Speaking to Root Eye at the end of his performance, Ayesem mentioned that even though he has relocated to Tema in the Greater Accra Region to pursue his musical career, he doesn’t see much difference between Tema and Takoradi since both places are harbour cities. He gave a shout-out to Takoradi and said he is aware the whole of the Western Region is watching him.
