English premier league side, Burnley, is considering a move for Ghanaian forward Abdul Majeed Waris after their pursuit for two other strikers failed.
Waris, 25, played for the relegated French side Lorient last season and will want a move away from the ligue 1 club. Lorient is requesting £10million for the player but Burnley will want to pay an amount lesser. The former Tranzorspor striker scored nine Ligue 1 goals last season for his side but was unable to help them escape relegation. Burnley are currently chasing several strikers to assist their main forward Sam Vokes.
However, Sean Dyche, manager of the English side will prefer a striker who has premier league experience. Majeed Waris will be the seventh Ghanaian player to be playing in the English Premier league this season if the deal goes through.
