It brought together about 4,000 members of the diocesan church.
The event was meant for spiritual renewal and to aid them to focus on the tenets and core values of the Methodist Church.
The event was also used to educate the people on their civic responsibilities and to pray for the nation’s peace and prosperity.
Bishop Andam pointed out that “the iniquities of today’s world are a threat to the very survival of mankind” and that it had become both vital and urgent for the church to do everything to help effectively deal with these immoral behaviours.
He urged the various circuits and societies within the diocese to take responsibility for the successful implementation of development projects initiated by the church to bring progress to the people.
He used the occasion to announce plans by the church to establish a television station to assist promote national consciousness.
