Multimedia Group’s multiple award-winning journalist Justice Baidoo is one of the speakers at the event to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Germany and Ghana.
In 2016, the German Foreign Affairs Ministry took Mr Baidoo and other African journalists to Germany fact-finding mission about migration and youth development in Africa.
He will be sharing insight on this human rights and migration trip dubbed, “Flight, Migration and Integration” as well as his journalistic experiences on September 30 at Goethe-Institut in Cantonments, Accra.
Other panelists will include representatives from the financial and educational sector.
The objective of the event, according to a statement by the Embassy, “is to create awareness among the Ghanaian youth about the opportunities available to them as a result of the German-Ghanaian bilateral cooperation.”
The event will be used to “exhibit some of the major achievements after 60 years of a vibrant, dynamic and diverse bilateral relationship.”
Highlights of the programme include; a symposium on a study and scholarship opportunities in Germany, a panel discussion “Youth Perspectives in Ghana” with young, Ghanaian professionals and stakeholders and Info session “Working for a German Organisation”.

There will also be “an exclusive face-to-face question and answer session with German Ambassador Christoph Retzlaff,” the statement added.
Ghanaians musicians Nana Yaa and Cina Soul have been billed to perform at the event.
In all, 14 German institutions will be present to showcase their activities in Ghana and to interact with the audience.
“Visitors may take part in a workshop on E-Waste, a Quiz Marathon or try their artistic skills at the graffiti wall in the outdoor area of the Goethe-Institut or else follow the history of 60 years Ghanaian-German cooperation on the basis of rare historic photos,” the statement concluded.
