“Nana Addo created the ‘Freedom’ to insult Presidents” – Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Johnson Asiedu Nketia who’s affectionately called ‘General Mosquito’ says popular Kumasi-based NDC serial caller, ‘Appiah Stadium’ needs to be patted on the back for describing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a “Monkey”.

According to him, Appiah Stadium who is a supporter of ex-President John Dramani Mahama must be commended rather than condemnedn.

Insulting a president is not anything new in this country. That is the stock-in-trade of the NPP, they are well noted for casting aspersions and pouring invectives on presidents; so it’s a payback time for them.

The government must rather commend and protect Appiah Stadium for insulting [Likening the president to a Monkey and a wee smoker] the president” the NDC Chief Scribe said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’.

Appiah Stadium was captured in an audio circulating pouring sickening invectives on President Nana Addo during his recent visit to the United States.

The popular serial caller who tagged the president a “wee smoker” and later likened him to a “monkey” is now pleading for forgiveness.

But his General Secretary apparently sees him as a ‘hero’ in the NDC and maintained that “he has done no wrong.”

According to Mr. Asiedu Nketia, the president can pray the court for justification if he [President Nana Addo] feels offended.

Nana Addo [President] is one person who fought against criminal libel law. He created the freedom for everyone to insult presidents. So why is he worried if people are utilizing it?”

This same NPP people subjected late President Atta Mills to insults. President Mahama wasn’t left out, they insulted them anyhow. So why are they complaining now when they are being paid back in their ow coin?” he rhetorically quizzed.
