Beauty of Sek/Tadi media: Focus 1 media, Connect FM, Radio Maxx celebrate 20yrs of Skyy Power FM

To the lay person, 20 years in business is just the counting of numbers but to the entrepreneur, to be in business for 20 years and be competitive is a feat worth celebrating and trumpeting because for a business to still look green after 20 years, it is a demonstration of the enviable ability to withstand the vicissitudes of business waves.
Marking their 20 years anniversary yesterday, Skyy Power FM, the first private radio station in the Western Region celebrated the anniversary with pioneer Presenters of the station presenting their former programmes on air. Memories of the station and its achievements were told to live listeners. A man whose name is synonymous with Skyy Power FM, Unlce Opia was celebrated as if he was still alive even though he has passed away for a decade.
Not only did the pioneer and contemporary staff of the arguably most powerful medium in the Western and Central Regions celebrated it both on air and online, their competitors also joined the celebration.
Residents of the Metropolis were shocked to the core when the Chef Operating Officer of Radio Maxx 105.1 MHz, Charles Boahene also known as Rocky once a staffer of Skyy Power FM was seen in a picture holding the 20th anniversary T-Shirt of Skyy Power and at the Skyy House at Fijai to throw his support behind the celebration.
This morning on their entertainment review programme, Connect FM 97.1 MHz also called the Programmes Manager of Skyy Power FM, Premier Gawu live on air to wish the station a happy anniversary. Callers and pundits of the programme could not hide their respect for the station for the matured gesture.
Focus 1 Media, operators of Beach and Spice FMs also presented an anniversary cake to Skyy Power FM. The presentation which was live on air was led by the CEO of the conglomerate, Kwame Adu Mantey once a staffer of Skyy Power FM and his managers.
Like this Author often says “We need to complement each other and not compete each other” to build a solid force in the region because united we stand and divided we fall.
This is a good example for the younger generation to learn from and be each other’s keeper.
