Organizers of the ‘WAV Concert’ which was headlined by Patapaa and EL have revealed the amount the ‘One Corner’ crooner, Patapaa was paid for performing at the Vienna Beach in Takoradi last Saturday.
Sleeky Promotions, organizers of the event confirmed in an exclusive interview during Ricky Rick’s Drive Entertainment on Takoradi-based Empire FM that Patapaa was paid GHC5,000, the highest ever paid to the Swedru based Artiste since he broke through with the ‘One Corner’ single.
The GHC5,000 according to the organizers excludes travel arrangements, catering and hotel accommodation. It comes on the back of reportage that the artiste, currently Ghana’s most sought-after act, turned down a GHC1,000 to perform at the RTP awards.
Sound Engineer Mr Loyalty, who produced Patapaa’s hit single demanded GHC1500 from the nouveaux riche Artiste, being outstanding debts for his beat services and another GHC 1000 for another act, Ras Cann, who also featured on the song.
