How Cristiano Ronaldo Reacts After Games When He Doesn’t Score – Sergio Ramos Reveals

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has revealed that teammate Cristiano Ronaldo ‘goes home angry’ after games in which he doesn’t score.

Despite the Ballon d’Or holder’s dip in form – which has seen him net just once in seven league outings – Ramos also insisted that the team aren’t worried about the 32-year-old’s unusually low key form this season.

While Ronaldo has been frequently finding the back of the net in the Champions League, the Portuguese attacker has been struggling when it comes to scoring in La Liga and has often cut a frustrated figure as Los Blancos have lagged behind league leaders Barcelona.

However, despite Ronaldo’s troubles, Los Blancos captain Sergio Ramos remains adamant that he’ll come good soon.

“The goals will come,” Ramos told Sport. “Karim is a bit more generous, but Cris goes home angry when he doesn’t score. He lives on goals.

“But it doesn’t worry us because in a long season they will make the difference.”

The 31-year-old went on to discuss the phenomenal rise of youngster Marco Asensio, who scored an incredible half-volley against Las Palmas on the weekend.

While Asensio is undoubtedly a huge talent with a massive future, Ramos has called for calm regarding the hype surrounding the 21-year-old:

“He’s a crack but we have to leave the boy alone, don’t put stones in his rucksack. Let him enjoy it how he is, a boy. But he’s really good at scoring those type of goals.”

Madrid currently sit third in La Liga on 23 points. While their form has improved in recent weeks after a poor start to the season, Los Blancos are still eight points adrift of league leaders Barcelona.
