Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been Premier League Manager of the Month for October, the second successive award he has collected this season as a result of his team’s fine form.
It is the third Manager of the Month award that the esteemed Spaniard has won overall after also receiving the accolade in February of last season.

Guardiola’s City won all three Premier League games they played during October, extending their run of consecutive league wins and opening up a significant lead at the top of the standings with just under a third of the campaign completed.
Having beaten reigning champions Chelsea in their last game of September, City began the month of October with a 7-2 drubbing of Stoke at the Etihad Stadium.
A 3-0 victory over Burnley followed, while they edged out West Brom in five-goal thriller to close October with a 100% record. City had also won elsewhere during the period, registering Champions League and Carabao Cup victories against Napoli and Wolves respectively.
Guardiola is now level on Premier League Manager of the Months awards with great rival Jose Mourinho, with the Portuguese only collecting three despite his long association with the league. Former City boss Manuel Pellegrini won four during his three seasons with the club.
