Gregory Ankrah, CEO of BookMeWorld, the agency contracted by Aiteo to book Ghanaian Artistes for the 2017 CAF Awards held in Ghana has revealed that it was not only Ghanaian Artistes who could not perform at the ceremony because Nigerian Artiste Runtown who rehearsed and even did sound check prior to the event and was backstage couldn’t also perform.
Speaking to www.233times.net, Mr. Ankrah blamed the organizers of the event for all the mishaps at the ceremony to award African Footballers. The BookMeWorld CEO said “the line-up was bad. It was supposed to be every award, one performance but it got to a point where people wanted to leave so they were doing back to back performance and they introduced Wizkid, Tiwa Savage on stage. They gave the best player of the year award after and that crowns the whole thing so people started walking out.”
“And it wasn’t only Shatta Wale who couldn’t perform, there were Nigerians backstage who couldn’t perform. Runtown was in Ghana he couldn’t perform, there were other Artistes as well. Runtown did rehearsals, did sound check, did everything but he couldn’t perform” Mr. Ankrah revealed this to www.233times.net.
Runtown is the Artiste who did the singing on Sarkodie’s ‘Painkiller’ song.
