Lifeless body of Teacher found hanging in Policeman’s room

THE LIFELESS body of a female teacher has allegedly been found hanging on a rope in a policeman’s room at Konongo in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased, who was identified as Vida Frema, 30 – said to be a tutor at Kumasi Girl’s Senior High School (SHS) – was allegedly the fiancée of the policeman – who was also named as Sgt Bright Opoku Yeboah.

The cop was said to have left Frema behind in his room and went to work on Monday.

The security officer reportedly returned from work at about 4:00 pm on Monday only to find Vida’s lifeless body hanging in the room at Konongo Low Cost.

The policeman, sources told DAILY GUIDE, upon seeing the disgusting spectacle, quickly raised the alarm which attracted scores of curious people to the scene.

The incident was then reported to the police at Konongo, who stormed the scene to pick the body for preservation and autopsy.

Sources said scratches were spotted on Frema’s lower arm and there was a blood stain knife in the room, when the police officers came to pick the body.

According to them, Frema did not leave behind any suicide note, which could have been of immense help to the police in their investigation.

They disclosed that Frema’s body had since been deposited in a medical facility in the area, awaiting autopsy to prove what really claimed her life.

The paper gathered that the police in Konongo had started serious investigation into the matter to help unravel what claimed Frema’s life.

It is, however, not known as to whether Frema’s fiancée, whose room the lifeless body was found hanging, had been arrested or not.

Meanwhile, attempts by the paper to reach the police hierarchy in Konongo to comment about the issue proved futile.

However, some policemen in the area, who pleaded anonymity, said the police were not leaving any stone unturned in their quest to get to the bottom of the incident.
