Ahanta West: Thieves steal Basic School’s solar panel worth over GHc 15,000

Staff and pupils of Sese D.A Junior High School in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region had the shock of their lives when they went to School this morning, Monday March 26, 2018 to realise a Solar Panel system and its accessories donated by the Government to the School have been stolen.

According to the School’s Authority, the suspected thieves broke the doors to the Library and one other classroom and got access to the items.

The Solar Panel was installed by the Government in 2015 to aid the pupils in the community in their Studies at night since there is no electricity in the community.

The current development means the pupils would not be able to study at night.

The General public is being urged to help retrieve the items and apprehend the thieves as well.
