No Artiste is beyond any regional awards – Nero X

Two times winner of the ‘Highlife Artiste of the year’ at the Western Music Awards Nero X has stated that no Artiste, no matter how famous is beyond regional awards.

At the just ended RTC Western Music Awrads 18, arguments sprung up that some famous Artistes should step aside to give way for the up and coming to win the regional awards whilst the famous Artistes keep their eyes on the Ghana Music Awards.

In his opinion, Nero X said “Which Artiste says he is bigger than regional awards, no Artiste anywhere is bigger than any regional awards. Unless the organizers of these awards say that the famous Artistes are beyond the awards, no Artiste should see him/herself as beyond the regional awards.”

Speaking to Nana Kwesi Coomson on Extensive Chat with NKC, Nero X said even though he has received awards in the United States of America and Canada and other European countries, he wouldn’t consider himself beyond regional awards because it also helps to boost his resume.
