Pastor gets 24 months for ‘fingering’ 3-yr-old girl

Pastor Wisdom Kusorgbor, Head Pastor of Soldiers of the Cross Ministries at Korle-Gonno has been sentenced to 24 months imprisonment in hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court. 

Kusorgbor, 24-year-old was dragged to the court accused of “fingering” a three-year-old girl and using his penis to “brush” her vagina.

He was charged with indecent assault and he pleaded not guilty, to the charge but was found guilty after trial by the court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin Doku.

Prosecuting, Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire said the complainant, a businesswoman resides at Santana at Chorkor in Accra with the victim who is her daughter while the convict also resides at Korle Gonno.

He said the convict’s mother and the complainant are co-tenants.

According to prosecution Kusorgbor has been visiting his mother at Korle-Gonno and whenever he visits he gives his mobile phone to the victim to watch cartoons.

On December 28, 2016, the prosecution said at about 1800 hours the convict visited his mother but on reaching there noticed that his mother was not in.

Prosecution said Kusorgbor, however, carried the victim into his mother room to watch the cartoons on his laptop. 

While watching the cartoon, accused person inserted his finger and used his penis to “brush” the victim’s vagina.

Mr Atimbire said the convict did not penetrate the victim’s vagina.

He said the victim informed her mother about her ordeal and a report was made to the Domestic Violence and Victim’s Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service at Mamprobi in Accra.

The victim’s mother was issued with a medical report form to seek medical attention and later Kusorgbor was later arrested and charged by the Police.
