Dr. Prince Armah donates 10 white canes to Ghana Blind Union on behalf of Kwesimintsim MP

An Education, Research & Evaluation Consultant Dr. Prince Hamidu Armah has donated 10 white canes worth GHc 450 to the Ghana Blind Union on behalf of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwesimintsim, Joe Mensah.

The Research and Qualified Teacher of Mathematics, Dr. Armah made the donation after a story by www.233times.net which revealed how the Ghana Blind Union President Mr. James Osei expressed disappointment in the Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Western Region for ‘turning down’ their request to support them with 10 white canes (companion for the blind) each.

“I feel embarrassed and sad that the vulnerable in society would cry out this loud. I have not felt this embarrassment before so I am donating 10 white canes on behalf of my MP, Honourable Joe Mensah. I am doing this to save the image of my MP, the MP of Kwesimintsim, Hon. Joe Mensah” Dr. Armah said.

Dr. Armah who is the Founder of the Institute of Education Studies has pledged support for the Ghana Blind Union and added that “I am someone who believes in an all-inclusive society so it is better to help in ways that we all can but for now let me do this to save my MP’s image.”

Dr. Armah sent the money to Nana Kwesi Coomson, the Journalist who wrote the story to be given to the Ghana Blind Union in Western Region.
