Although Stonebwoy’s ‘Epistles of Mama’ was released on December 12, 2017, songs on the album continue to receive massive airplay causing many to pitch the project to receive a potential GRAMMY nomination next year. Ghanaian Radio/TV Personality and host of Route919 on Live FM, Antoine Mensah is in absolute support. The album dedicated to the memory of his mother, Catherine Satekla, who died in 2015, Stonebwoy’s ‘Epistles of Mama’ features Sean Paul, Burna Boy, Sarkodie, Efya, King Promise, Edem and Joey B. The double disk project is made up of 24 songs – 12 Dancehall/Reggae songs and 12 Afrobeat songs.
Taking to Twitter, the Programs Manager of live 91.9FM, Antoine Mensah wrote:

A lot of people seems to agree as well but here are 4 reasons why Stonebwoy is likely to receive that nomination in 2019;
2. By the end of 2017, ‘Epistles Of Mama (EOM)’ was rated the second best album in the world by readers of Reggaeville, the world’s biggest gathering of reggae lovers and fans on the internet. His spot was above that of Damian Marley’s ‘Stony Hill’ album.
3. Since it’s release, songs on the album have been performed on over 15 stages both locally and internationally. From from Budapest’s Summerjam, to Reggae Reel in Belgium, straight to Jamaica, back home to his well-attended “Ashiaman To The World” concert and recently on stage at the “One Africa” music festival in Dubai.
4. 9 months after Stonebwoy released his “Epistles Of Mama” Album, the classic collection still sounds fresh on the market with even more appeal as it registers bigger hits. The smart move by the BHIM Nation boss to release its videos in bits all year long makes the many enjoy and appreciate the artistic work put into making the project. “Most Original”, a major hit on the album which features Jamaican platinum-selling and Grammy winning-artiste, Sean Paul, had its official video premiered on TIDAL, Jay-Z’s music store.
Last year, the “Top Skanka” missed out on what would have been a historic win at the 2018 Grammy Awards. A win by Morgan Heritage in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category would have made Stonebwoy the first Ghanaian to win a Grammy award.
Hopefully next year his work gets noticed and finally receives a nomination but most importantly win an award.
