FootieGhana supports budding Footballers and feeds thousands in Sekondi-Takoradi (PHOTOS)

A not for profit organization based in the oil capital of Ghana (Sekondi-Takoradi) FootieGhana has for the fourth time supported budding footballers in the Metropolis with their annual gala match.

At this year’s tournament at Sulele Park in Takoradi, children who are 15 years and below had their fair share of this charity tournament on 27th December, 2018. At the tournament for the children, over 1,000 packs of jollof rice and drinks were shared to the players and supporters. Street children and those who were passing by also benefited from this philanthropy.

28th December, 2018 was the turn of the adults who also participated in the gala competition which brings over hundreds of people in the Metropolis together.

According to the Architect behind this project who is also the CEO of FootieGhana, Ernest Osei popularly known as Koliba, “the main aim is to encourage the youth to enjoy the game of football. By donating football boots and jerseys to promising youth players.”

“We have put in place a scheme to take care of the best player, ie school fees and basic personal needs etc” Mr. Osei added.

Residents of Sekondi-Takoradi are assured of this tournament every year so a lot of people both in and out of the country bookmark dates for FootieGhana’s tournament to be part of this impactful project annually.
