Melody FM/Ocean 1’s Haruna Babangida involved in Vice President’s convoy accident in WR: Admitted at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital

Award winning Radio and Television Presenter with the defunct Melody FM in Takoradi, Haruna Babangida who also hosts Ocean 1’s ‘Reggae Dancehall Show’ in Cape Coast was involved in the Vice President H.E. Alhaji Dr. Bawumia’s convoy accident in Western Region on Saturday 16th February, 2019.

Babangida as he is affectionately called by his listeners and viewers was returning from Cape Coast after his most watched ‘Reggae Dancehall Show’ on Ocean 1 TV. He was admitted at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital popularly known as Interbeton throughout the evening of Saturday 16th February, 2019.

Speaking to www.233times.net on phone, he said “I am fine now but I have some few bruises on my body. There were scans and I was told I am fine. I feel some pains even though I have been given some injections but I still feel some pains.”

“Our driver was the one who died on the spot. I think he was confused by the siren of the convoy of the Vice President and he run into the third convoy. He died on the spot and some of us in the vehicle sustained some degrees of injuries” Haruna Babanginda on his way from the hospital told www.233times.net.

According to information gathered by www.233times.net, two of those on the Vice President’s convoy are still on admission at the hospital with broken arms and legs.

The Vice President was returning from an assignment in the Western Region when his convoy had the accident at Asemasa near Beposo in the Western Region.
