On Sunday the world was treated to a sad news of Ethiopian Airlines 737 passenger jet crashing and killing all the 157 people on board.
The flight was said to have taken off from Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, and was bound for Nairobi in Kenya, but crashed shortly after taking off.
In a tweet President Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his condolences to the families of those who perished in the crash.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, I extend deep condolences and sympathies to the families of the deceased, and to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the Government and people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in these difficult times.”
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he added.
The airline published the list of all nationals on the flight. It indicated that no Ghanaian was among the victims.
