Speaking to the media on Thursday 4th April, 2019 at the Takoradi Airport where a colourful welcome ceremony was held for the newly appointed Western Regional Minister, Hon. Okyere Darko Mensah in his brief speech sent words of relief to the people of Western Region, assuring them that together with the security agencies and the President of the Republic of Ghana, the three (3) kidnapped Tadi girls would be found.
Commending the works of the Ghana Police Service in the search of the three kidnapped girls, Hon. Okyere Darko said “Like we are aware, our Police are working very hard, I believe you are aware that they have done a lot of work. With our three kidnapped ladies, I want to assure that together with the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the security agencies, we will definitely bring back the 3 kidnapped girls.”
“We know the Police have done this before so I know they will help in this too. I don’t want anyone to be despondent, I want everyone to know that we are all coming to work hard so all hands should be on deck” Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko Mensah said.

About 3 kidnapped Takoradi Girls
Three (3) ladies from Sekondi-Takoradi have been kidnapped for over 220 days.
Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, was the first to be taken in August 2018. The student left home for choir practice but never returned. Her worried father reported her disappearance to the police 24 hours later. It is now known that she was abducted at Kansaworodo, a suburb of Takoradi.
Four months later, Ruth Love Quayeson also disappeared. The 18-year-old took a cab from her home in Diabene to the Butumagyedu Junction and never returned.
Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 15, was last seen on December 21, 2018. She told her younger siblings she was taking a walk to a nearby town, Nkroful and since then no one has heard from her.
