NCA shuts down Radio Silver in Sekondi

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has shut down Radio Silver in Sekondi on Friday 10th May, 2019 afternoon, a source close to the station has revealed to www.233times.net  

Officials of the NCA stormed the premises of the stations with armed security personnel while they were on-air and ordered their immediate closure.

The management of the station have received letters which has details for the shut down, asking them to re-apply for license if they still wish to operate as Frequency Modulation (FM) radio stations, the source told this Reporter.

Social media has been reacting to the closure and below are some of the comments;


According to information gathered by www.233times.net the NCA is shutting down radio stations operating without valid authorisations.
