A Junior High School (JHS) Student of All Saint Anglican JHS, whose name is given as Benedict Quaicoe escaped an attempted kidnapping at Race Course in Takoradi on 15th August, 2019 around 5 pm.
According to Benedict who spoke to www.233times.net on phone, he was playing football with his friends when the football entered the bush near Samrit Hotel (at Race Course). “I entered the place to take the football. As I was taking the football, I saw a car parked with 4 people in it. Two of them left the car and told me that I should stay where I am. I got scared and began to run. They told me that if I could run faster than them I should try. I started running and they started chasing me but I was faster” 15 year old Benedict told www.233times.net.
“They were speaking Fante and yes, I could identify them when I see them anywhere” Benedict, the nephew of Westgold Radio’s DJ Berry said.
The issue of kidnapping still lingers in Takoradi, the capital of the Western Region after the popular kidnapping of three girls, Priscilla Koranchie, Priscilla Bentum and Ruthlove Quayson.
