Father poisons two children to death in Kumasi

Two children have allegedly been poisoned to death by their father at Oforikrom in the Ashanti region.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30s.

The bodies were retrieved in an uncompleted building by the Police on Sunday. It is unclear the ages of the deceased and when exactly the heinous crime took place.

Sources say the suspect took the action after his wife abandoned him over financial challenges.

” The man informed his neighbors that he was traveling with the kids to his hometown. But after a while, a neighbor had gone to the uncompleted building in the area and discovered the bodies.

They believed to have taken the poison through biscuits, ” Ultimate FM’s Ivan Heathcote–Fumador reported.

Investigations are underway following the arrest of the suspect.
