After Police conclusion on 16th September, 2019 that remains discovered at the key suspect’s house is that of the four (4) kidnapped Takoradi girls, the grandfather and guardian of Ruth Abekah, the first lady to be kidnapped in July 2018 has cried out that, their lives are in danger.
Speaking to www.233times.net at their Diabene residence in Takoradi, Mr. Emmanuel Anzah Cobbinah, said “according to the Police Commander, my grandchild is dead. But the family doesn’t accept the report because the agreement before the release of the DNA results was breached by the IGP.”
“We were told that we would be shown a demonstration of the DNA test, the whole thing, the manner in which it was done and the result. They said they would show us that this is the bones of the girls with explanation but we only heard of it on air that they are dead. No one has come to us tell us about it, we heard it on air”
“We are currently living in fear because the Police doesn’t accept us side of the story, they have their own angle so that has given us some fear as we live here. The truth is not what is out and the family has not seen the supposed bones they are talking about. We didn’t witness anything and as at now they have not even shown the bones. This has appeared like a tag of war with the government which has brought so much fear to us” Mr. Cobbinah added.
“We are not safe” he exclaimed. Adding that “we are not safe because government is government and the Police that is supposed to protect us is the one who is saying my grandchild is dead and we are also saying otherwise so it is now a tag of war between us. Anything can happen now for us to shut up so that there wouldn’t be any other person to challenge them that the child is not dead or if anything happens to us who will challenge them henceforth?”
