Disqualified NPP Asawase aspirant sacked from Veep’s office

The Director of Political Affairs at the office of the Vice President, Manaf Ibrahim has been dismissed with immediate effect.

He was recently disqualified from contesting the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primary at Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti region on Saturday, September 28. The issue is currently in court.

Manaf Ibrahim’s appointment was subsequently terminated effective 30th September, 2019 by a letter dated Monday, September 30, 2019 on the letterhead of the Office of the President.

“Notwithstanding the termination, you are still under the obligation of confidentiality that you signed during, your employment,” the letter signed by Augustine Blay, Secretary to the Vice President Dr. Bawumia, said.

Manaf Ibrahim has therefore been directed to arrange for the return of all official equipment, property and documents in his possession.

The letter was copied to the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the President, and Acting Chief Director at the Presidency.
