Kofi Kinaata’s reply to Rex Omar’s ‘not a songwriter’ comment

Multiple award winning Artiste Kofi Kinaata has responded to Rex Omar’s ‘not a songwriter’ comment he made when he left out Kofi Kinaata in his top 5 songwriters in Ghana and when asked about Kofi Kinaata, he mentioned that the Takoradi bred Artiste is a Lyricist and not a Songwriter.

In an interview with Philip Osei Bonsu host of ‘Ekosii Sen’ on Asempa FM last Friday, Kofi Kinaata responded to Rex Omar’s remarks of his talent saying “it is his opinion and he knows too much. In the song did you hear me say I am a songwriter? It is my fans who give me the names. Some say I am Fante rap god and others. I don’t want to talk about it. It is like saying Ronaldo has speed, dribbles and all that but he is not a Footballer.”

Kofi Kinaata currently has the biggest song in Ghana titled ‘Things fall apart’ which is enjoying rave rating across all sectors in Ghana. The song talks about double-faced religious life in contemporary days.
