Parliament will later today, Friday, host the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley.
She will address Parliament as part of her three-day visit to the country.
She is among other things in the country as part of the Year of Return festivities.
The time for parliamentary sitting today has been adjusted to make room for the address to Parliament.
Mia Amor Mottley, who arrived on Thursday, will also later hold bilateral discussions with President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Remains of an unknown enslaved African she brought with her would be buried at the Assin Manso River Site, the third of such remains to be buried at the site.
Mrs Barbara Oteng -Gyasi, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, welcomed the Prime Minister on her arrival saying the nation’s tourism sector seeks to deepen its activities in the Carribean with Barbados as the gateway.
Mr Akwasi Agyeman, the Coordinator of the Year of Return and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, said the visit highlighted the importance of the Year of Return in the global African discussion.
