A suspect whose name has been withheld by the Kwesimintsim Police Command has revealed that he and his colleagues are behind the attack on the Students of St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School (SHS) in Takoradi on Friday 1st November, 2019.
According to the PTA Chairman of St. Mary’s Boys School, Mr. Twum Barima, the suspect said he was part of the burglary but he is not behind the cutlass attack on the Students but his colleague thieves are.
Speaking to www.233times.net, Mr. Twum Barima said that when the Police visited the thief’s house at Apowa in Takoradi, they found items of Students; Mattresses, chopbox, passport pictures of students, notebooks, pens, sardines, bottles of shito and other items used by Students were found there. “Items that he (thief) does not need are burnt behind his house and those that he uses are kept in his room,” Mr. Twum told www.233times.net.
The arrest of the suspect was effected on Sunday morning upon a tip-off. Rev. Father Eduayaw Ansah, the Headmaster of the school was preaching when he was informed of incident, www.233times.net is informed.
Beefing up security at the School, the Old Boys Association of St. Mary’s, all-boys school have hired extra security men to support the school’s security.
