PHOTOS: i-VickyMends Foundation fetes orphans at Fathers Home Care Ministry in Takoradi

Inmates at Fathers Home Care Ministry were treated to a lunch on Sunday, December 8 as part of i-VickyMends Foundation’s vision to visit orphans and widows in their affliction.

The treat included serving of jollof rice and chicken, assorted drinks, toffees, Mandazi pastry, a snack produced in Takoradi by Penda Foods, biscuits among others.

The lunch with the orphans is the first of its kind for the foundation.

The event, which took place at the Ministry’s premises located at Anto, a community in the Shama District of the Western Region, was well patronized by the orphans.

According to the founder of the i-VickyMends Foundation, Victoria Nana Amoh, they wanted to do something special for the kids ahead of Christmas.

She said as the Yuletide is fast approaching, the Foundation wanted to get the less privileged enjoy a sense of belonging.

The reaction and the expression on the children’s faces could tell they were really happy about the visit, Ms Amoh said.

They could not resist but to dance to the good music they were treated.

i-VickyMends Foundation Club strives to build and foster friendship through giving and fortifying fellowship.

It is a vehicle for individuals who share the bond of friendship to use their collective commitment, resources, and dynamism to improve human condition to impact positively on the society.

The event was made possible with sponsorship from Naa Sika Susu, a modernized susu collection platform with the sole aim of bridging the gap between the traditional way of saving money and technology to aid financial independence.
