Police Corporal impregnates SHS daughter of police man

A Police Corporal with the Bogoso Division of the Ghana Police Service, Lance Corporal Emmanuel Allode has allegedly impregnated a 17-year-old daughter of another police officer at the same division. The young girl (name withheld) is a first-year student of one of the leading Senior high schools in Takoradi.

The corporal who is already married with three children, is alleged to have had sexual intercourse with the young girl on three different occasions when his wife was away for other duties. Two of the intercourse happened at the house of Lance Corporal Emmanuel Allode whilst the other happened at a hotel room in Bogoso. The result was a pregnancy where the police officer allegedly proposed abortion to end the pregnancy prematurely. He took permission and brought a concoction from Bogoso to the student in Takoradi. However, things did not go well as planned when the student collapsed in school after taking the abortion concoction given to her by the police officer. She was rushed to the hospital where it was established that the student has taken in pregnancy with attempted abortion. Mother of the student whose name has been given as Abigail, a midwife with the Wassa Akropong government hospital was invited and upon further investigations on her daughter revealed Lance Corporal Emmanuel Allode was responsible.

Speaking with the student, she narrated that she accepted to have the intercourse with Lance Corporal Emmanuel Allode after several threat by the police officer on her life.

“he proposed to me and told me he loves me. I refused initially but he threatened I will not have any other man to love if I deny him and insulted me as well so I agreed out of fear. I have been in his house for six times and he has had sexual intercourse on two different occasions in his house and another at a hotel in Bogoso, I came back to school in Takoradi and realized I was pregnant so I called him and he told me he has a medicine which will help abort the pregnancy. He came from Bogoso with the medicine and we met at the house of my friend’s boyfriend, he took me to a hotel and gave me the medicine, the first one failed to abort the pregnancy and he told me to keep the rest and take it later, I took it after some days and I collapsed which ended me in a hospital,” she narrated.

Lance Corporal Emmanuel Allode is currently at the headquarters of the Ghana police service in Sekondi for interrogations. Mother of the student however fear justice might not be served.
