For the past ten (10) years, Mr. Kwame Adu- Mante, Chief Executive Officer of Focus One Group has committed himself to be of immense help to the Sekondi Prisons.

On 13th February, the Focus 1 CEO donated medical and other assorted items with GHc40,000 to the 720 inmates of the Sekondi Prisons.

The inmates in both the male and female section of the prison received items including grocery food, domestic accessories and  sets of hospital equipment and medications for the infirmary.

As part of the 10 year philantropy to the prisons, the Visioneer of Focus 1 invited some radio stations in the Sekondi-Takoraod Metropolis  to participate in the occasion by joining hands with Staff of Beach FM, Spice FM and Focus One Distribution to distribute the items to the inmates. The stations included Empire Fm, Skyy Power Fm, Yfm and Connect FM.

In an exclusive interview with Beachfmonline, Mr. Adu Mante said that “the gesture was a simply manifestation of the good Bible’s commandment for us to love your neighbors as yourselves.”

“By doing that  I believe  that it is the greatest love you can show to your neighbor or friend because the good bible says we should love to our neighbors as ourselves and once they find themselves there it is a correctional facility  but not a condemn facility so it’s always a step in the right direction to come around and show love”

He went ahead to advise the general public not to always perceive inmates in a bad light on the basis that the incarceration of some inmates  could be due to lots of circumstances beyond the usual stereotype

DSP Nesta Adjetey Cyrian, Western Regional Public Relation Officer of Ghana Prisons Services on the behalf of the entire Sekondi Prison Services showed appreciation to the Focus One Group for the donation and called on the general public to emulate the continues commitment of Kwame Adu-Mante towards assisting the facilty in the last 10years.

Reigning Western Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Ayesem joined the Focus 1 Group’s donation by performing to the inmates, a place he had earlier this year visited on his own.
