Parliament approves €53m for Takoradi Market Circle redevelopment

The Parliament of Ghana has approved a loan facility of fifty three million euros (€53 million) to redevelop the popular Takoradi Market Circle in the Western Region.

The loan facility which is made up of a SACE facility and a tied Commercial Facility is expected to help upgrade the Market Cirlce to international standards.

The report of the Finance Committee which approved the loan facility for the redevelopment was presented on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

The Market Circle which has a total capacity of 2,980 stalls and 642 stores was constructed in 1928.
