A former deputy Finance Minister under the John Mahama administration has issued 230 questions and statements on the country’s economy to vice president Dr Mahammudu Bawumia to answer.
Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan wants Dr Bawumia to answer the questions before the December 7 general elections.
He said having attentively listened to Dr Bawumia’s town hall speech, he has “found a number of issues you raised quite disturbing and factually inaccurate”.
The former deputy minister said although the vice president is entitled to his opinion, he cannot be entitled his own facts.
“It is for this reason that I found it necessary to send you this Open Letter to point out these factual inaccuracies and also take the opportunity to ask you some questions about the true state of Ghana’s economy,” he stated as introductory remarks.
Mr Ricketts-Hagan said he would be grateful for Dr Bawumia’s comments on the statements and answers to his questions “hopefully before 7th December, 2020”.
