Reliable information reaching www.233times.net is that two contenders of the Takoradi Constituency Parliamentary seat on the ticket of New Patriotic Party (NPP) are likely to be disqualified based on petitions submitted to the Chairman of the Vetting Committee.
According to information gathered by www.233times.net, during the vetting of the aspirants yesterday Monday March, 2, 2020, Fred Kakraba Sam, one of the aspirants had to answer to three (3) petitions by people who have levelled various degrees of accusations against him.
In the petition available to www.233times.net, Fred Kakraba Sam, a former Teaching Assistant at the Takoradi Technical University was accused of alleged fraud, assault, amongst others. Deep throat revealed to www.233times.net that he answered the petitions so was given some reasonable hours to respond to some of the accusations with receipts proves.
Mr. Bernard Oduro Nyarko also faced accusations of alleged false pretence and misrepresentation. According to the signatories of the petition, Mr. Oduro Nyarko is not a member of the Takoradi Constituency NPP since he voted at Tema East Constituency during the 2016 elections. The signatories of the petition are also asking of the whereabout of an ambulance he publicly said on TV and radio that he bought for the Takoradi Hospital.
In all the petitions to the Chairman of the vetting committee, signatories are pleading that Mr. Kakraba Sam and Mr. Oduro Nyarko are disqualified from contesting the primaries due to accusations raised against their persons.
Mr. Fred Kakraba Sam and Mr. Bernard Oduro Nyarko are contesting incumbent Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah who doubles as the Western Regional Minister for the Takoradi Constituency seat.
