
A classified document in the possession of www.233times.net confirms a total of eight new cases of the Coronavirus, COVID-19 in the Western Region.
The Western Region received a notification of the confirmed cases at 14:28 GMT on Monday 27th April, 2020.
A total of nine confirmed cases of the novel virus has therefore been confirmed in the Western Region.
“Their age ranges from 29 years to 60 years with an average of 45.6 years old. Seven out of the total number were asymptomatic (had no signs and symptoms of the disease) with temperature between 36.2 oc and 37.6 oc whilst the other one presented with cough, headache, general body weakness and muscle pain with a temperature of 38.8 oc. Only one revealed that he has Hepatitis B as an underline condition” a classified document available to www.233times.net revealed.
It was further revealed that “none of them had travel history for the past 14 days.” Six (6) of them had travel history prior to the lockdown – 3 from USA, 1 from Belgium, 1 from United Kingdom and 1 from Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
As at yesterday, the total number of samples takenĀ from suspected cases and pending laboratory test were 309.
