20 Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital staff test positive for COVID-19

A total of twenty healthcare workers at the Western Region’s referral center, Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital have tested positive for COVID-19.
A confirmed case last week where a staff of the hospital tested positive compelled Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital to close down the Antenatal Care Unit, Child Welfare Clinic and the Ear Nose and Throat Unit.
Some of the staff were asked to self isolate as their samples were taken for the test. It is from these tests that twenty of the staff have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
