Prez. Akufo-Addo terminates appointment of Tarkwa-Nsuam MCE

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Tarkwa-Nsuam Municipal Assembly, Hon. Gilbert Kennedy Asmah with immediate effect.

The fired MCE was accused of dabbling in chieftaincy matters and other intra-party conflicts in his constituency causing a lot of hiccups in the Municipality.

Benjamin Kessie, the New Patriotic Party’s Constituency Secretary of the Municipality has been nominated by the President as the person to take over from Mr. Asmah.
